Convert SVG to PNG at any size

Turn a vector graphic into a PNG for places that will not accept SVG. Because it renders at the size you choose, the output stays crisp.

    How to svg to png

    1. Drop in your SVG files.
    2. Set the output width in pixels. Height follows the aspect ratio automatically.
    3. Choose a background colour for transparency, if you need one.
    4. Click Convert to PNG and download.

Why this image tool is private

Rendering SVG to a canvas is done by the browser's own graphics engine. Nothing is uploaded, so unreleased design assets stay on your machine.

Other tools in this category upload your file to a server, process it in the cloud, and return a download link. That means your document sits on someone else's disk — often with a retention window measured in hours. Here, the file is read by your browser, transformed in memory, and saved straight back to your disk. You can watch it happen in the live check above: the counter for files uploaded stays at zero.

    Frequently asked

What output size should I choose?
Match the size you intend to display it at, times two if the screen is high density. A 64 pixel icon should be rendered at 128 or 256 to stay sharp on retina displays.
Why does my SVG render oddly?
Some SVGs reference external fonts or images by URL. Since this tool deliberately makes no network requests, those references cannot load. Flatten text to paths in your editor, or embed the assets, for a faithful result.
    Does it keep transparency?
Yes, unless you choose a background colour. Leave the background unset to keep transparent areas transparent.
Is the result as sharp as the SVG?
At the rendered size, yes — it looks identical. Zooming in beyond that size will show pixels, because PNG is a raster format and SVG is not.
